How to Apply


Prospective homeowners are evaluated using four criteria:

  • Need for decent, affordable housing - currently living in poverty or substandard housing
  • Willingness to partner with Gadsden-Etowah Habitat for Humanity
    • minimum 300 sweat equity hours which includes homeowner education classes
  • Ability to repay a zero percent interest mortgage
    • income must be 30% to 75% of median family income for Etowah County
  • Resident of Etowah County for at least one (1) year.
